Spitiko is a newly founded company with a goal to create and export internationally a big variety of traditional quality products from Greece. The food series contains more than 120 different product labels and there’s also a series of kitchenware and cooking accessories.
Our aim was to develop a brand identity that is distinct and flexible to be easily adapted in many different products while also being premium, dynamic and promote the high quality of the products.
“Spitiko” means “Homemade” in greek and this gave us the idea to create a symbol inspired by the greek embroidery folk art, one of the finest expressions of the greek artisanal tradition. Embroideries used to found in every home and women were creating their own dowry as a way of showcasing their skills.
This symbol which resembles to a flower found in greek folk art is used in all products in the same simple yet distinct way and it’s combined with a special designed typography that shares the same values. Together they create a strong brand identity which embrace all type of products in a modern, minimalistic way with a traditional aspect.
To complete the brand identity and upscale the value of the products we used premium production methods like wooden caps, tinted bottles, cotton labels and printed metal boxes.
